Getting Ready for Spencer’s Grand Meander
Most Spencer residents know that our city has been selected as an Iowa Great Place, and one of the reasons we think Spencer is such a “great place” to live, work and play is the annual downtown Grand Meander.
If you have never attended Grand Meander, you are in for a wonderful treat! Practically every downtown storefront features a live window display and all up and down the streets merchants are serving hot chocolate or hot apple cider. Many also offer complimentary cookies to go with the warm drinks. Downtown Spencer becomes a true winter wonderland on this special night.
As we mentioned earlier, Monday, December 7th is the date of Grand Meander this year, and all the celebrations begin at 5pm. Get into town early for choice parking and be sure you meander by the Hen House!
