Memorial Day Parade

Every kid loves an adventure . . .

. . . especially if they have an adventurous grandma who rides a motorcycle!

Percy, an inquisitive, redheaded fourth grader, loves to discover new things with Grandma Biker. He never knows what she has in store for him, and this adventure is no exception!

A surprise camping trip to a state park turns into an exciting start to Percy’s summer vacation.

Join Percy, Grandma Biker, and her dog, Sprocket, as they meet new friends and experience new adventures–all while practicing their civic responsibility and patriotism.

State Park is the first book in the Grandma Biker series, a heartwarming tale that follows a spirited grandmother and her adventurous grandson, Percy. Together with her loyal dog, Sproket, Grandma Biker takes Percy to a state park for a treasure hunt that turns into an engaging lesson in civic responsibility and patriotism.

During their adventure, they help a stranger find a lost dog and surprise Percy with an overnight camping experience. Along the way, they meet a nomadic Veteran who crafts beautiful whittled figurines. Inviting him to dinner, Percy enjoys his very first whittling lesson while learning about the Veteran's struggles with PTSD—a challenge he understands all too well, as it echoes his grandpa's experiences after the war.
